Following LDK Group’s strategy of further expansion in the Middle East and Eastern Africa, LDK Consultants has established two new subsidiary companies located in Amman, Jordan and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia respectively.

LDK LLC Jordan has recently been awarded and is currently implementing the following three (3) Projects:

  1. “Solid Waste Management Portfolio: Support and Evaluation Mission”:
    The company provides technical assistance and strategic advice to European Union by assessing the past SWM programmes and supports the implementation of ongoing and future ones.
    The Project is contracted and funded by European Union Delegation (EUD) in Lebanon for 24 months.
  2. “Consulting Services for Mechanisms Development for Operation of the community-based Recyclables Receiving Stations”:
    The company provides technical support for the establishment of the Materials Recovery Facility MRF (Final Sorting Center) and green points (Recyclables Receiving Stations) that will be distributed in the designated areas for recyclable materials collection in the northern region of Jordan.
    The Project is contracted and funded by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for 5 months.
  3. “Green Economy Project Preparation and Implementation Framework – GET Assessment for three (3) Industrial Zone Development in Lebanon”:
    The company will assess the Project’s impact on the 3 IZs environmental footprint and identify which components of the Project are consistent with the European Bank’s GET approach and Technical Guidance Document on implementing the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Green Economy Transition.
    The Project is contracted and funded by the EBRD for 5 months.  

LDK Ethiopia is currently implementing the Project ‘’Feasibility Study and Detail Design of Waste Water Management System for BahirDar and Hawassa Towns’’ (in consortium with Roikos S.A.). Its main goals are to:

  1. Provide an in-depth assessment of the current sanitation situation including the institutional arrangement, infrastructures, and other facilities used for sanitation / sewerage services provision and management;
  2. Conduct feasibility and detail design of appropriate infrastructure and recommend commensurate management system for Hawassa and Bahir Dar cities.
    The Project is contracted by the Ministry of Water Irrigation and Electricity (MoWIE) of Ethiopia and funded by the World Bank.

Yet, the new subsidiaries will cover the growing demand on services in the Environment, Energy, Transport and Buildings Engineering Sectors, in countries such as Jordan, Ethiopia, Abu Dhabi, Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Tunisia.
