- Line length 6 km double track with an option for extension for 5 km more.
- Expected minimal yearly capacity: 30 million passengers
The project comprises the following activities:
I. Traffic and technical study of two alternative options:
Option 1 Tramway system:
- Needs assessment of the port
- Study of various technical solutions of a tramway system
- Study of the alignment and the capacity of the system
Option 2 Monorail system:
- Needs assessment of the port
- Study of various technical solutions of a monorail system
- Definition of the basic parameters of the system
II. Preliminary feasibility study and cost-benefit analysis of the two options:
- Financial analysis and evaluation
- Socioeconomic analysis and evaluation of cost-benefit analysis
III. Selection of the system
IV. Structural studies
V. Environmental impact assessment
VI. Suggestion of the appropriate legal frame of the new system
VII. Preliminary electromechanical study of fixed track vehicle.
