LDK Consultants is currently an implementing partner to the EU funded project “Technical Assistance to Civil Society Organisations in the Western Balkans and Turkey 3” (TACSO 3); a three-year project with a budget of approximately €4,8 million, targeting EU candidate and potential candidate countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo , Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Turkey.

The TACSO 3 project will enhance the capacity of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to actively take part in democratic processes and to stimulate an enabling environment for civil society and pluralistic media development, thereby contributing to the EU approximation process.

LDK Consultants, in line with its commitment to promote socio-economic development related to the EU enlargement process and the historic and geo-political relations between the countries of the project, will take on the challenge of achieving the TACSO 3 objectives by using its extensive experience in implementing high-level technical assistance projects on behalf of the European Commission, European Investment Bank (EIB), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the World Bank for the last 30 years.

TACSO is a part of the Civil Society Facility (CSF) EU mechanism which aims to support the development of a civil society which is participating actively in the public debate on democracy, human rights, social inclusion and the rule of law, and has the capacity to influence policy and decision making processes.
CSOs can play a vital role for the promotion of fundamental rights and political participation and ensure accountability of public authorities; they are also a key indicator of a country’s readiness to join the EU.
