Being at the heart of developments in the Mediterranean region since 2010, LDK Consultants has just been awarded one more important project for the area

, the ‘Water and Environment Support in the ENI Southern Neighbourhood region (WES)’ project.

This 4-year project (2019-2023), with a budget of approximately  €8.000.000, has just been launched, aiming to assist the implementation of an integrated approach to pollution reduction and prevention in line with the Barcelona Convention and to contribute to a more efficient management of scarce water resources in the Neighbourhood South region.

The project will support Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, [Syria](1)  and Tunisia to implement regional priorities at a national level. The WES project will be building on the experience gained through one of the predecessor projects of the WES, the ‘Sustainable Water Integrated Management and Horizon 2020 Support Mechanism’ (SWIM-H2020 SM) project (2016-2019) and the Sustainable Water Integrated Management Support Mechanism (SWIM SM) project (2010-2015), that were also led by LDK Consultants.
