Three hospitals, thirteen high schools, a boarding school and six kindergartens will be subject to integrated energy efficiency
rehabilitation during the first stage of the implementation of the Energy Efficiency Project in public buildings in Chisinau, Moldova, a Project in which LDK Consultants acts as technical consultant.
More than 100 public buildings in total are to be rehabilitated by the end of the Project.
The Project is innovative for the country, focusing on comprehensive energy efficient rehabilitations of buildings covering thermal insulation of exterior surfaces, new openings as well as the rehabilitation of the ventilation, electrical and thermal networks. Actual implementation works are expected to start in the second half of 2018.
The total value of the Project which at this stage covers public buildings in the municipality is €25 million. The funds are to be provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the E5P Fund.
