LDK Consultants has recently undertaken a World Bank Project
regarding the provision of all the technical, regulatory and legal advisory so as to develop, establish and operationalise a working Balancing Market for Albania (ABM).
The establishment of the balancing market is organized in 3 Phases:
- Phase A High Level Design: The first phase regards the development of the High Level Design (HLD) of how the Balancing Market and Imbalance Settlement process will be set up. The output of this task is the general design that will outline a foundation for the decision to proceed with detailed design and implementation.
- Phase B Detailed Design: This is main stage of the project and will result in developing the ABM in detail including all rules and regulations that are required to be put in place.
- Phase C Implementation: Implementation will follow naturally from the detailed design work stream. This work stream will be a comprehensive one to define the setting up of all Organizational Issues, Business Processes, Legal Agreements, Interfaces and IT Tools to allow for the “Dry Run” of the ABM.
