Description
New airport terminal building at the Makedonia Airport in Thessaloniki, Greece.
The project consists of the terminal building, the apron facilities, the landside facilities and a roofed parking area.
The new terminal building (covering a total area of 115,000 m2) was planned to accommodate 8 million passengers on an annual basis and 3,700 passengers at peak hours. It hosts 100 check-in counters, shops, banks, offices, restaurants, bars and waiting lounges, and is equipped with an automatic baggage transfer system with automated security control, 14 boarding bridges and 22 aircraft parking positions.
The parking building was designed to serve 2,000 vehicles for short and long term parking at four levels (one of which underground).
