The objective of the project was to transfer the EU know-how on district heating networks, efficient operation and maintenance to the project partners from CEE. The project comprised the development of feasibility studies for the maintenance and restructuring of the district heating networks of the cities: Tirgu-Mures and Deva of Romania, Kjustendil of Bulgaria and Chemnitz (ex Karl-Marx-Stadt) of Germany, taking into consideration technical, financial and legal aspects.
The project gave an opportunity to decision makers from the district heating companies of the partner countries to meet on a common platform, exchange opinions and develop the framework for future co-operation.
