Type of Services
Services provided by LDK were included in responsibilities such as:
- coordination with DESMIE with regard to their modelling work;
- assistance and advise with the development of assumptions and scenarios for modelling;
- advise and research on recent developments in the Greek power market;
- review and comment on reports to be prepared;
- participation in all significant project meetings and presentations.
Description
The overall objectives of the project were to:
- identify the likely operation of a specified new plant over an agreed time horizon, taking account of the existing system and the expected load growth and evaluate the impact of the new plant on the operation of existing plants and on the total cost of meeting load;
- develop proposals for the basic contract terms for the new plant in the light of the findings.
The consultant`s approach was based on two areas of work within the task:
- support and liaison with DESMIE's modeling work in the way described, to generate the necessary data for the design of the main parameters of the transitional contract;
- design of main contract parameters.
