The need for integration of the environmental protection in almost every aspect of modern life was realised by LDK, leading to the expansion of its activities and the establishment of the Environment Department at the beginning of the 1990’s.

LDK is among the first Greek consulting firms to have entered this field, at a stage when the first policy incentives for sustainable development had started to appear.
