Climate Change Communication Expert

Uuniversity degree (preferably postgraduate) in engineering, political science, economics, social sciences, law, or equivalent-level professional experience
Languages: Spanish (excellent knowledge), English or French (excellent knowledge), and at least one other European language, preferably Portuguese
At least 10 years of experience in medium- & large-scale cooperation projects (preferably multidisciplinary within the scope of environment / climate change)
At least 4 years of experience as director of technical assistance / mission director in project development
Proven experience in monitoring and management of projects
At least 5 years of experience in cooperation projects in Latin America (preferably within the scope of environment / climate change)
Experience in management of interdisciplinary and international teams
Experience in multi-country or regional projects
Experience in visibility and communication projects
Experience in projects related to organization of seminars and training workshops at international level

Communication & Awareness expert

University degree (preferably postgraduate) in engineering, political science, economics, social sciences, law, or equivalent-level professional experience
Languages: Spanish (excellent use), English or French (excellent knowledge), and at least one other European language, preferably Portuguese
At least 3 years of experience - 1 year in administrative / financial management of development co-operation projects
Experience in drafting reports, agenda management, forecasting activities
Experience in information exchange actions, contacts list, database management
Experience in the preparation and organisation of events (of more than 50 people)
Design and management of web pages
Creation and production of visibility and communication material
Specific experience in Latin America and in climate change issues (optional)

LDK Consultants is seeking experts in the frame of a proposal for the northern Africa and Middle East countries within the sector of environment / water resources management. Eligible candidates should urgently forward their CVs to stavros@ldk.gr, if strictly fulfil the criteria set below:

Team Leader Expert

Master university degree or equivalent experience in economics, water science or engineering, environmental sciences or management
Languages: French and English (excellent use), and additionally Arabic
At least 15 years of experience in institutional development in the water sector; relevant inter-institutional and transboundary experience is considered an asset
At least 5 years of experience as team leader of projects, leading a multi-national team
Experience in projects dealing with water policy development and implementation according to the EU principles and policies, including water financing
Experience in at least two Mediterranean partner countries
Proved experience in project management (PCM principles and implementation)
Understanding of ENPI South countries' water related climate change and de-pollution issues
Demonstrated capacity to work in a multi-cultural environment, with government institutions
Experience in setting up and maintaining dialogue with decision makers
Familiarity with formulation and implementation of water management action plans and programmes is considered an asset

Water Expert

Master university degree or equivalent experience in a relevant branch of water science and management, or engineering
Languages: French and English (excellent use), and additionally Arabic
At least 10 years of work experience in the water sector
At least 5 years experience as key expert of significant projects supporting IWRM in the ENPI South countries
Proven experience in development co-operation associated to the water sector
Proven experience on EU water policy, legislation and related initiatives
Experience of IWRM
Demonstrated capacity to work in a multi-cultural environment, with government institutions
Experience of interaction with partners and stakeholders
Knowledge of water-related environmental issues is considered an asset

Environment Expert

Master university degree or equivalent experience in environmental sciences and / or management; specialisation in environmental issues
Languages: French and English (excellent use), and additionally Arabic
At least 10 years experience in environmental governance, management and mainstreaming
At least 5 years of professional experience in projects supporting water-related environmental issues in the ENPI South countries
Proven experience in development co-operation associated to the environment sector
Proven experience on the EU environmental policy, legislation and related initiatives
Demonstrated capacity to work in a multi-cultural environment, with government institutions
Experience of interaction with partners and stakeholders

Communication and Public Consultation Expert

Master university degree or equivalent experience in communication / journalism or any relevant subject area
Languages: French and English (excellent use), and additionally Arabic
At least 7 years of professional experience in communication
At least 5 years of professional experience in communication and media
Experience with the design and implementation of communication projects / programmes in the ENPI South countries
Proven experience on water, environment or climate change related issues
Participation in ENPI South or comparable countries projects on communication issues
Demonstrated capacity to work in a multi-cultural environment
Experience of interaction with partners and stakeholders

LDK Consultants is seeking short and long term Expert Consultants in the fields of:

wastewater treatment design
wastewater management
solid waste management
water resources management
climate change

in the countries of Lebanon, Syria and Jordan, within the frame of an ongoing project. Eligible candidates should have at least 7 years of experience in the above fields, whereas prior involvement in projects funded by International Funding Institutions (IFIs), as well as fluency in Arabic, are considered an asset.
