Seeking Administrative staff/Interpreters (2)

LDK Consultants Engineers and Planners S.A. is seeking to recruit Administrative staff/Interpreters (2 persons) to participate in the above two-year EC funded project. The project aims to maximize the role of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (GNAT) in the process of EU membership negotiations by promoting the dialogue between Parliamentarians as well as political parties represented in the parliaments of the Member States and Turkey in order to contribute to a better knowledge and understanding between Turkey and European Union and raise the awareness of the opportunities and challenges of Turkey's accession to the EU by increased publicity and visibility.

Office Administrators/Interpreters will be responsible for:

  • Coordination of the flow of all working documents in liaison with other members of the project team
  • Following the team’s policies and procedures and maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Entering and retrieving information in computer databases, updating records, files etc.
  • Creating and maintaining computer- and paper-based filing and organization systems for records, reports, documents, etc.
  • Book keeping of project expenses incurred in the country
  • Preparing and reviewing written documents accurately (notes, letters, follow ups, meeting minutes, etc.) and answering telephones using appropriate etiquette.
  • Coordination of all travel arrangements to include flights, local connections/transport, hotel bookings etc., in connection with the project activities
  • Interpretation during meetings as necessary as well as translation of reports
  • Expatriation services, including filling up forms regarding VAT exemption, ID Cards, etc.
  • Providing facility management coordination and managing office supply needs
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required by the office or team as they arise

 The successful candidate should have the following profile:

  • Proven administrative experience of at least five years in an international fast paced working environment ? Ability to build and maintain good relationships both internally and externally
  • Strong organisation and planning skills.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload
  • Higher education degree
  • Computer literacy- proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Dynamic/fast paced, innovative and multitasking
  • Excellent communication, people and interpersonal skills
  • Prior experience in EC funded project will be considered an asset

Project’s Indicative Starting Date: 3rd week of January 2012.

Project’s Implementation Period: 24 months

Seeking IT Support Expert (Part Time)

LDK Consultants Engineers and Planners S.A. is seeking for an IT Expert to participate in the above two-year EC funded project. The project aims to maximize the role of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (GNAT) in the process of EU membership negotiations by promoting the dialogue between parliamentarians as well as political parties represented in the parliaments of the Member States and Turkey in order to contribute to a better knowledge and understanding between Turkey and European Union and raise the awareness of the opportunities and challenges of Turkey's accession to the EU by increased publicity and visibility.

The expert sought should be specialized in one or more of the following fields: Development, implementation, management, and support of systems and networks

REQUIRED PROFILES

To be considered, candidates must have the following qualifications:

Qualifications and skills

  • Experience/understanding of Windows XP, Microsoft Office 2003 and above
  • Understanding of TCP/IP protocol troubleshooting.
  • Ability to load and configure various software on new PC's and Mobile Phone devices
  • Experience in designing web pages, network set-up and social networks’ administration and support
  • Ability to multitask, respond to requests, operate at a high level of professionalism and deliver efficient solutions on time while following the standard procedures.
  • Good knowledge of English and Turkish both written and spoken
  • At least three years of work experience relevant to the field applied for
